What is the LiveWire Experience?
LiveWire prides ourselves on being a small arts organization with a big artistic impact. Our mission as a collective of artists is to create theatre that reflects the current cultural landscape of our community through productions of original and contemporary works. Since 2006, we have produced over thirty Chicago and world premieres through our full-length productions as well as our annual short play festival, VisionFest. Along with these productions, we have helped develop over a half dozen plays through various workshops and our reading series, LiveWire Unplugged. Bringing stories to Chicago that are both new and current is The LiveWire Experience.
The LiveWire Experience would not be possible without the artists involved in each of our shows, the patrons who attend LiveWire productions, foundations that financially support the company through generous grants, and our growing lists of individual donors, who are quickly becoming the most important part of the company's success. The LiveWire Experience is about building community through the connecting power of theatre, and we want you to play a part in making our big artistic impact possible.
Your contribution today creates the opportunity for LiveWire to produce shows such as our upcoming Chicago premiere of Samuel D. Hunter's A Permanent Image, opening April 6th at the Storefront Theater in downtown Chicago, about an estranged family confronted with just how small their lives are in the universe; and our 5th annual VisionFest, coming in June, showcasing a dozen plays that deal with technology's influence on society.
For any donation you make, you’ll receive two free tickets to A Permanent Image. Whether you give $5, $25, or $500, it doesn’t matter. Donations made of $100 or more will get a behind-the-scenes experience that includes a backstage tour of A Permanent Image and a meet & greet with members of the cast and crew. Donors who contribute $500 or more will be invited to experience LiveWire productions from start to finish, including invitations to company meetings, first rehearsals and opening night events.
Be a part of The LiveWire Experience and enjoy the theatre we make together.
